Managing Users in evolveIT authentication Mode

This document will cover the basics of the CM evolveIT Dashboard managing users in CM evolveIT mode within the dashboard.  This document will discuss creating, deleting, changing users and user passwords.   

After completing this document, you should be able to add a new user, change user information, delete a user and change a user’s password within the dashboard.  

 1. Log in to the dashboard with a valid dashboard user id.  

Log in with a user that has UsersManagement permissions.  

There is a built-in administrator that can be used for setup initially.  

Built-in administrator (Default Password is ‘admin@1234!’)

 


  

Once logged in the dashboard view will display.  

 


 

 2. Go to the User menu option.  

Administrator -> User Management -> User 

 

 


 

3. Add a user with a Unique User ID 

Click “New” button   

A pop-up will display.  

Fill out fields (UserID and Email are required)   

click “Add” button to create a user. 

  


 

The user is added successfully.  An email will be sent to the user's email address with the user id and a temporary password.   

 


 

4. Edit user 

Click on the edit icon. 

A pop-up will display.  

Change user information as you want.   

Click on “save” button. 

 


 

 5. Delete user 

Click on the trash icon. 

A confirm pop-up will display. 

Click on “No” button to cancel and “Yes” button to delete. 

 


 


 

 6. Reset password 

Log in as a new user for the first time with the user id and temporary password provided in account created email or from your system administrator. 

“Reset Password” screen is displayed. 

Fill out the current password and new password and confirm password fields. New and confirm password have to match. Click on “Save” button to reset and “Cancel” button to cancel. 

 


 


 

7. Edit profile  

Click on the down arrow by the user icon in the top right of the dashboard.  

The profile menu will display. 

Select  “Edit Profile” 

A popup screen will display 

Change data as you want  

Click on “Save” button to save or the “Cancel” to cancel. 

 

 

 

 


 

8. Change Password 

 

Click on the down arrow by the user icon in the top right of the dashboard.  

The profile menu will display. 

Select “Change Password”,  

Fill out current password, new password and confirm password fields. New and confirm password have to be match.  

Click on “Save” button to change password or “Cancel” to cancel.
