CM evolveIT Text Search Index Creation

This document will cover the basics of the CM evolveIT Dashboard Text Search Index Creation.

After completing this document, you should have a basic understanding of the CM evolveIT Dashboard Text Search Index Creation.

 

1. Create Index for Text Search.  

CM evolveIT provides very fast source code search feature. It requires pre-indexing all source codes in advance. The index creation is automatically triggered as a part of create/refresh inventory. However, we provide manually request index creation who has the ‘CreateIndexManagement’ permission.

1.1. Create Index for Documents

Select Dashboard -> Search-> Create Index 

Click on Create Index button and Select Yes

The process runs on the server asynchronously. You can navigate other area of web page.

The index creation duration is based on number and size of source code files.
