CM evolveIT supports Active Directory

What can be achieve

  1. Bulk user impot from AD to CM evolveIT
  2. Authentication to access CM evolveIT with AD user/password validation

What is required 

  1. Create new Group within AD that can define Group of users that uses CM evolveIT
    1. By adding new Active Directory User Group then assign users to the group
    2. use DN property
  2. The AD query/filter to list those users

  • Administrator -> Settings -> Active Directory
    • Set 'Authentication Mode' to Active Directory


The Dashboard has a configuration to define Active directory User Filtering

  • AD access setting
    • AD domain and port (if port is not default. I believe the default AD LDAP port is 389)
    • The user and password to access AD, 
    • The best is the user/password never expired since it is saved and used whenever refresh Users from AD
  • Filter/query setting. Once access to AD part is defined bellow are options you can set
    • Base DN:
    • Filter: 
      • Something like this to list ALL users.  (&(objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person))
    • Scope
      • base
      • One level
      • subtree

Confirm Result

  • Enter necessary fields
  • Click 'Check Active Directory' button, you see result or error 

Property Mapping section

This mapping is used to map LDAP User record attributes with CM evolveIT user record. 

  •  In most cases, you will not need to adjust the property mapping section.
